I received this mesage
![]() ![]() This answer below doesn't help Answer There are two known causes for this problem: 1. The codec that the video is compressed with is not installed on your computer, or the install has become corrupted: Try installing or reinstalling the codec. If you are trying to use the TSCC video codec, for example, run the install file for TSCC. The file is TSCC.EXE and is located in the folder that Camtasia is installed in. 2. DirectShow components not properly registered: Try registering qedit.dll and quartz.dll using the following commands: Start > Run and then paste (include the quote marks): regsvr32 "%windir%\system32\qedit.dll" into the Run box. Click OK. Start > Run and then paste (include the quote marks): regsvr32 "%windir%\system32\quartz.dll" into the Run box. Click OK. |

Okay, my first question would be: What codec are you actually using to encode your raw footage. Is it in fact TSCC, or something else?
cheers, d.

I don't know which codec is used to recording or rendering.
I have XP SP2 and K-Lite Codec Pack. And TSCC I tried to uninstall Kazaa Codec Pack but it hasn't changed anything |

No idea.
If it makes you feel any better, keep in mind that CAMREC is a container file only. Either way, the core video footage is AVI. It's just that CAMREC also encapsulates other streams of information, such as the PIP video (in WAV format) and any markers you might have established during record time. If you work with these additional streams, it gives you the convenience of dealing with only one file. If you don't use markers or PIP video, then you actually have no need of CAMREC. The video footage is exactly the same. cheers, Daniel |
