I just upgraded from 4.0 to 4.0.1. Flash videos produced with 4.0.1 display a really nasty screen if Flash is not installed.
4.0 showed this paragraph if no Flash is installed: The Camtasia Studio video content presented here requires JavaScript to be enabled and the latest version of the Macromedia Flash Player. If you are you using a browser with JavaScript disabled please enable it now. Otherwise, please update your version of the free Flash Player by downloading here.4.0.1 displays the same thing with the "Created with Camtasia Studio" image sitting on top of the text, which make it impossible to read all of the text. See this image: ![]() and this one, if the user uses a smaller font: ![]() It appears the developers are not allowing for or testing for different size fonts in browsers. You might consider setting up a serious automated testing program, and combining it with serious usability testing. This will easily catch bugs like this. The fix is to comment out the background-image line in the FlashTemplate.css file in the Camtasia program files. Thanks, Jack |
