Default Callouts- directly editable time limits & default name based on text

Hi,

I have a couple of suggestions regarding callouts:
- Their default name is not really helpful when you have lots of callouts in your video and they are just called Hotspot 1, Hotspot 2, etc. Since each of those callouts represents a specific text, it would be a lot more helpful to have them automatically renamed after the text they contain;
- Right now you cannot directly edit the time limits of a callout, i.e. manually enter the start&end time of the callout; you can only control this by moving its limits along the timeline. I suggest you add two extra parameters under the Callout Properties, where you can enter the starting time and ending time respectively of the callout. This way, you can have a faster and more accurate control of the time limits of the callout.

Thanks & keep up the good work!

Several years back, I requested the option to tie start and end times to a specific marker. That would make it a snap to start and end multiple callouts together. Plus, moving the marker would eliminate having to edit each of the callouts separately.

I don't want the marker instead of the ability to enter specific start and end times. I want to have both options.

Either way, I agree that the current drag only approach is insufficient.

I second (er, third) the call for directly editable start/stop times for callouts.

Thanks, Amoore!

I'll make that four.

I'm working on recordings of Google Analytics reports. There are loads of different areas which I need to blur.

So each new screen requires a whole set of callouts, all of which last the exact same time, but need to be fine-tuned to be frame-perfect.

Explicitly setting the duration of callouts and snapping to markers would save a lot of time. Right now I'm thinking of giving up!

I foresee makign the callouts directly editable being a very difficult programming task. It would, however, be very beneficial.

And I TOTALLY agree with having the name of the callout default to its text.
