audio-video mismatch

We use Camtasia to produce slideshow videos with imbedded audio commentary. While we re-time each presentation before it is sent to our clients, we have been getting complaints that the timing does not match between the slide and accompanying audio towards the end of the 6 minute presentation. Has anyone else had experience with this?
Have you been able to successfully replace the content in an avi or windows media file without compromising resolution and/or general quality?
