How do I edit or delete text which I added to a screen capture? I can find no way to "select" the text box.
The Editor in Snagit is not object based. Once you add the text and then click out of the text box, the text simply becomes part of the image.
You could place something over it or use the eraser tool, but that would be the only way to change it.
If you wish object based text boxes that may be reselected or moved around the image at any time, you may use Snagit Studio.
