The custom callouts are nice but how about implementing a more robust "Library Resource Manager" application? Several video applications (Sony, Adobe) use this for storing images, sounds and short clips that are used often in projects. I know CS uses the clip bin but is just a project clip bin. Also I would like to import text files into this library resource manager application. The text files could contain verbiage for title screens and callouts. :)

Would you want this to automatically pick up every thing used in a saved Camtasia project (camrecs, audio files, etc.)?

It would probably make sense to have it searchable/sortable in a variety of manners (by media type, project's which use the file).

I'm interested in further information, particularly how the text/organization should work (should we just save callouts or title clips themselves?)

Possibly or give the option within the file properties to make available in the Library Res Mgr. I know there are projects where I reuse some of the content again and again.

Yes, I think being able to add keywords/tags to the files like Microsoft Organizer does and other do would help with the search process. I can get you a screenshot of Sony Media Manger that we use with Sony Vegas.

Cool, I forwarded this on to Troy and got hit with similar requests from completely different directions asking for the same or similar functionality, so its a project I might work up into a more detailed proposal, more input is always useful (make sure we don't miss stuff, helps me pitch the usefulness of it, etc).
