1.When A video segment (AVI) is removed from Timeline, the Extended Frame STAYS on the Timeline! Isn't that a bit tacky? The Ext Frame belongs to the clip that was removed, so there is no good reason for it to stay.
Now that I know this I'm going to have to re-check previous clips produced for this. I probably have a few Ext frame chunks in the beginning of clips...
2. The timeline total time doesn't reset to zero UNLESS you start a NEW project. I'm sure the Produce As output is correct, but it makes me nervous when producing 25-30 segments and the counter reads 1:46:12 from a previous clip.
Just so you understand how I'm using Camtasia:
Sample project is a training video that alternates between 20 Powerpoint intro slides and 20 actual software segments. I script, narrate, save audio and then create the segments to the audio. So I have 40 bits of audio and 40 AVIs that I import and start marrying together.
1. Drag 1 wav file& 1 AVI file onto timeline and sync
2. Produce As AVI segments (audio & Video) - assemble final prodct later-
3. Delete used files from timeline, delete them from Clip Bin
Repeat this process until Clip Bin is empty. Start process over with next module....
