hello there:)
I might help you in this technical problem
me too I have a realtek device sorounding my speakers system but follow these topics they might be helpful:)
it might be one of the following listed items :
1)maybe your speakers arent connected to your pc correctly or maybe misplaced
2)you maybe havent checked to record your speakers in camtasia recorder
3)maybe you have to try to open your speakers on
4)maybe your realtek device isnt alowing your speakers to analyze the voices
5)or maybe you didnt play something while you were recording to be recorded
but if these help topics didnt do good I would like to help you but it would be much more better if you only have been more concerned about the information you provided.
thanks
best regards robb

Hi
I too am unable to record system audio using Camtasia. As I understand it, what happens is that Camtasia somehow "senses" whether your computer is capable of performing this action. If not, the option becomes disabled.
I was very disappointed when I talked last summer with a TechSmith person and they advised me of this, because I had just purchased a new, fast laptop. Only to find out that because my audio parts were considered "crappy".
Cheers... Rick :)
If you wana fix your problem
Did you try to see my helping topics(steps)
if you did tell me where you are finding a problem in and i will help you in it:)
if you need help about another topic i am here to help:)
best regards

Have you read this ? http://forums.techsmith.com/showpost.php?p=17463&postcount=13 It is the limitation of Camtasia and Realtek HD audio. There are third party recording software that will allow recording of "stereo mix" or what you hear on Realtek HD audio (see url above). You can then produce a project using that audio track with your captured video in Camtasia.
Search 'realtek audio problem' for further hints.
thanks Robb, but i test all the 5 points. My speakers audio is connected and option are enabled. I 've also look all post in this forum. It seems that Camtasia dont' work with realtech audio maybe this sound card don't have this function implemented (but i don't buy a new sound card only to use camtasia !!)
I've found option steremix in my driver ??? and i've look everywhere
I've found finally an other issued to resolve this problem but it's not the same that you record spekers audio. I give you how i do.
1/ I connect my speaker audio with my inline or microphone
2/ I choose Record audio : Inline and i must change volume speaker (several try to have a good volume)
3/ My record sound must have be filtered
it will be better than camtasia can record the audio realtech card
hey there
i think your speakers (realtech) should work because i have the same type and everything is fine
but i cant find a correct solution for your speakers to be working within camtasia but i am sure you will find some better solution
and ya maybe it is the problem of your sound card i guess so because i had the same problem (i was surfing on the internet and then i had a huge virus and a spyware stuck on my pc so the next day i wanted to use my speakers and no sound was coming then i realized that my usb was done it has been some setting which made my usb not working anymore and my speakers were fuzzy and not working so the next step i made is that i went to check for windows update and i found a patch and i updated my realtech device an everything later worked fine :)) that is what happened to me so i guess you might have a technical mistake as in like in your sound card or you have some spyware ( if you do why don't you download windows defender to help you it is very useful follow the link if you wanted to download it http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx# )
thanx
wish this did good
