This feature seem very limited. Can someone provide a more technical detail rather then a brief summary?

What I was hoping for is to truely allow the users to interactive with the video such as:

The video will pause until the viewer type or click on what is needed to continue. Right now, it seem to have the click feature but lack the typing portion. I have seen this in some of Microsoft's step-by-step video cd.

Will this feature be beef up a bit more in future releases?

Wow! Yes! From my perspective adding some type in or logic requirement would make Camtasia a real eLearning tool.

There isn't much of a benefit to upgrade at the moment, I will wait to see further progress...

I have just finished a lengthy comparison of a number of video capture and produce products.

It finally came down to Camtasia (v1.1) and one other. The real decision had to be made between one product that captured the mouse movement properly plus allowed you to change the playback speed during production, and the other product that had good stop / go hotbuttons, and text input response capability.

Camtasia 1.1 won, but if you had text input capability you would have a true winner product.

BTW, I appreciate why it is not easy. I'd be happy to only have this feature in an exe file, so that you could include the run-time procedures to handle the input.
