View Full Version : Watermark problem

Having been a long standing user of Camtasia, and upgraded to v2, I appear to have a problem with loading a GIF file for the watermark feature in Recorder.

I had no problems with Recorder in Camtasia v1.1.1 and the same GIF file as a watermark.

The error message (captured with the Text feature of Snagit 7!) is:

Could not open the watermark file named "E:\Work\CHMK\Images\NATSlogo.gif".
Please change the current watermark file path or disable the watermark.

It seems odd that the newer version should have a problem with this file...

Any comments?

Regards

Further to this issue, I have installed Camtasia 2 on a completely separate machine, and the problem is still evident.

Because I use Recorder in a specialised environment every day, time doesn't allow me to tolerate this problem and so I have to revert to the previous version (if I can) in order to continue.

Some fairly prompt advice would be welcome....

Try copying the GIF to a different directory and then select it in the Recorder.

If it still does not work, please send a copy of the GIF to support@techsmith.com

Copying the file to another directory makes absolutely no difference - I still get the error message.

I have sent you the file as an attachment to an E mail.

Did you get my E mail & attachment OK?

If so, any joy with the GIF-as-a-watermark issue, please?
