Unable to run .avi Camptasia Studio file with Windows Media player V7.X and > on desktops/laptops that don't have Camptasia Studio loaded on them. We get a data compression error message from Media Player. The goal is to copy a Camptasia session on 500 CD's for distribution internally to users who all have Media Player V7.X or greater on their
desktops using Windows Media Player V7.X or > on their desktops.

What's the fix?

Also, if you convert your video to a standard format, like Flash or WMV, then you won't have this problem since those formats don't use TSCC. Or, if you used Camtasia MenuMaker to create a front end for your CD, then that would solve the problem since MenuMaker automatically plays videos with the Camtasia Player, which has TSCC built in.
