View Full Version : Audio larger than Video

In Camtasia 1.1.1 the presentations were built by adding video and audio to the storyboard a frame at a time. Each frame of the storyboard could be individually edited and then all the frames were produced together. If you had a frame whose audio was longer than the video, then the video portion was displayed until the audio was complete.
With 2.0, it seems we have gone backward. It appears as if you cannot associate a video with an audio file(s) as you are building your presentation. Is there some way on 2.0 to associate audio(s) with specific videos other than creating hundreds of tiny projects and then putting those projects in a bigger project?
I donot know about anyone else, but I document my narrative before producing the audio. If I have to now record my audio for a long presentation, instead of frame by frame, that will be a nightmare to get into sync with the video.

Hello,

In Camtasia Studio 2.0, it's slightly different. You can seek to the end of your clip and go to File->Save Frame As, then import the frame into your clip bin, throw the frame onto the timeline after your clip, then import the audio. You can then resize the single frame image within your timeline to fit any size you need so that your audio has video that is long enough to match it.

Thank you for using Camtasia Studio!

I have succeeded in doing what you suggested. I have to tell you it was a lot simpler and faster in 1.1.1! Camtasia producer did all that work for me.
