I must be missing it, but how do you import the Camtasia Producer 1.1.1 projects into 2.0?

You can't import a 1.1.1 file into 2.0, unfortunately. They are different project types. Camproj files contain more information than the old CAM format.

Is there going to be any way to import existing projects? It seems like a lot of work to have to re-create all the effects and edits otherwise for everthing that was created. Tons of lost time!

Yes, this is something we are currently looking into. There is no official information on when this will become available, however.

Sort of like upgrading MS Word and finding out you have to retype all your documents!
You may finish your projects in v1.x and start new projects in 2.0. We are currently working on adding the ability to move 1.x projects to 2.x and applolgize for any inconvience this may have caused.

I agree that this is a problem. I keep saved projects of all the videos I produce so that it is simple to go back and change small components if required. It will be a nuisance if I have to recreate those projects from scratch. It basically means that you need to have both versions of the application installed until this issue is resolved.
