View Full Version : .FLV >> Unable to publish using the .FLV format

Even though I have Macromedia Flash Pro 2004, Macromedia Flash Video Exporter and QuickTime v6.0, I am unable to publish to the .FLV format. I keep getting the dialog box that says I should contact Macromedia to get the Macromedia Flash Video Exporter for Macromedia Flash Pro 2004.

I tried the obvious remove, re-install restart but that didn't help.

Any ideas?[^]

Hello,

Try reinstalling QuickTime 6 and when you do, make sure you use the "recommended" installation option. Does that help?

That didn't solve the problem.

But I did the custom install on previous installs of Quicktime so the recommendation you gave me was a good one. That might solve other problems (like when I try to do advanced batch Quicktime encoding using Media 100 Cleaner).

Any other ideas?[?]

No I only have cleaner 5 and .flv output is not an option. I am (obviously) able to convert swfs to flv using flash pro 2004.

Please help.

When you installed Flash 2004 Pro, did you make sure that you also went back into the install program and installed the extra Flash Video Exporter tool?

You might want to contact us directly at support@techsmith.com so that we can exchange numbers and discuss this over the phone, which may be easier. Nobody else, to my knowledge, is having this difficulty.
