Hi weilai720,

I'm guessing here that you have recorded a screen capture and it has saved it as a camrec file.
Simply import the CAMREC file into the clip bin, right-click and choose Extract Camrec Contents. This allows you to get at the AVI recording.

This posting saved me. I don't understand how I can capture a recording using CS 4, have it saved as a camrec, import it into CS 4 and then not be able to play. I saw under Camtasia Recorder/Tools i have it checked to save the capture as a camrec. I changing that to save as an avi file! Do you have a guess as why CS 4 can't play its own camrec recordings?

Sometimes, I get real frustrated with CS.

This may be too basic of an anwer, but are you dragging the CAMREC or AVI to the timeline? You can either do that or double-click on the CAMREC/AVI file to make it play.
