View Full Version : Printing in SnagIt
I am a new licensed user (Plains Exploration & Production Co.). Try as I may, I have been unable to scale my capture area (whether it be a window or region or whatever) for printing. The capture area no matter how I size the area, always is very small. The only way I have been able to scale the capture for printing is to capture it to clipboard, paste it in another application (like Word) and then resize the capture area before printing. Is there a way to do this in SnagIt?

Might someone have a more complete answer to this problem? Where is "Output>Properties>Printer"? What do you do when you get there?

Steps:
(1) Click [Output]
(2) Click [Properties]
(3) About 3/4 down on the panel, click [Page Layout...]
(4) Under "Image Scale Options", click next to [Manual Scale]
(5) To the right of [Manual Scale], click up or down arrow. When
you do so, you'll see the "Sample Image" at upper right
either decrease or increase in size. If you increase more
more than 100%, the image will not grow in size, but the
count marker will show the percentages. I clicked it up
to and past 1000%. There are other options there also. For
example, you may select [Fixed Size (inches)- Width: Height:
SnagIt should be more transparent and not make users jump through
hoops to resize a screen shot. They need to redesign the resize
function into their program.
Hope this is helpful. Good luck, MarineDon.
