Once I draw a line or complete a text box in the preview window, I cannot select that object to move it or edit it. Is there some way to do this in the preview window or must I use the Studio?
Hello,
You have to use Studio to be able to edit the text boxes and lines once they have been completed.
Thank you for using SnagIt!

Yes, but how do you edit individual objects drawn on a capture? I have captured a screen shot from an application and added several text boxes and arrows. Now I want to move one of those boxes to a new location and edit one of the arrows as well. I have brought the capture up in Studio but I do not see a feature that allows me just to select and work with one object.
Simply click on the object to select it. Right click on it to set it's Properties.

Still do not get it. I have the image in Studio. It is a full screen size. I added a text message in Editor but now I noticed a typo. I see no way of select just the section around the text that I entered. Right mouse clicking gives me options to edit the entire object or see the properities of the entire object but not just the once object with in the whole that I wish to create. I see no tool in the toolbars that allow me to select that one object either. I just watched again the Studio tutorial. It was nice but it did not help.
If you add text in the Editor and click away from it, that no longer can be edited. The Editor is not object oriented.
If you add objects in Sngit Studio, and save the project file, you can reopen the SSD file and still have access to the objects.
Only Snagit Studio is uses true objects. When you have finished editing in Studio, you have two options:
1. Save a Project File
and/or
2. Save to an image file.
If you save a project, you can open it later and edit each object.
If you save it to an image file, you can later open the image, but you no longer can edit the objects.
One workaround is that you could overlay the misspelled word with another text box.
