Hi all,

I'm creating a Flash animation with Producer to show how users can copy files by dragging them onto our software application. As I drag the files over our UI, the cursor turns into a "+" sign. But in my movies, the cursor changes into an hourglass.

Any thoughts on how I can create movies that will accurately show the changes in my cursor?

Thanks,

Mike

Is this "+" sign a non standard cursor drawn by your program specifically?

Thank you for using Camtasia Studio!

It's the standard Windows drag-and-drop cursor. The same one you see if you drag a music file onto Windows Media Player.

It's time to update my animations but I'm still having the same problem. I downloaded the trial version of Camtasia Studio 2, and saw the same results. If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear from you. Thanks!

The same thing happens when recording a drag-and-drop operation in Windows Explorer (on my XP Pro system).

Are you missing the icon of the object that you are dragging?

Try going to Tools->Options->Capture and select "Capture layered windows." Does that help?
