Outlook Express

I use Snag It all the time in Outlook and it works great. I use Word as my email editor.

I told a friend about SnagIt. He uses Outlook Express. Neither of us can get it to paste directly in Outlook Express.

I can paste in Word, recopy and paste in OE fine.

Is there a way to configure OE to take SnagIt directly?

Hello Betty,

Try going to Start->Programs->Accessories->Paint, paste one of your captures into Paint, then go to Edit->Copy to copy it back out of Paint. Then try pasting it into your Outlook Express email. It should do the same thing as SnagIt and not work.

Outlook Express doesn't appear to support pasting standard bitmap images from the clipboard, unlike Outlook. It seems to support pasting images from MS Word but that is because Word seems to be copying those images to the clipboard in a different, perhaps proprietary, fashion.
