At what size screen area would I need to record to to view a moie using camtasia player so that it would fit into a 800x600 screen without having to scroll.

Hello Dai,

It depends on what you are playing the video back in. I would suggest recording at 640x480 to see if that will work for you.

If i record at 800x600 resolution,
what video-size should i use when i Produce to Flash (SWF) so that Scrollbars are not needed.

When Internet Explorer launches the flash-movie, the Playback bar is not seen unless the scroller is used. Any suggestions on how to fit everything when capture-record is full-screen, 800x600 res,& w/ playback bar, rendered as SWF-Flash file.

If you record an 800x600 video, then you need to have an 800x600 area to play it back in. This means you should set your screen resolution to around 1024x768 or higher to be able to see most of the video.

When using Theater, it's extremely important to record smaller videos, since the Theater UI does take up space on the screen. So, I would suggest not recording an 800x600 video. Instead, record a 640x480 region of the screen and simply move that region around while recording. You'll notice that this is how we do our videos, here:
