Hihi, i just started using camtasia and I like the program sofar except for 2 problems.

1: I try to record a video game; Starcraft - Broodwar. it is a low requirement game and it doesnt use much system resources.. when I try to record it I usually start getting VERY low frames per seconds ingame while i record.

2: I try to record the same game but for some reason when I play the video i recorded at low FPS :P the colors are REALLY scrambled and you can barely make out what was originally on the screen, there are colors everywhere like pink, orange black blue which are almost just randomly put around the screen.. very messy :P

system specs are:

Intel Pentium 2.6 ghz dual processor
512ddr ram
Geforce 4 MX 64ddr
80gb hdd

In regards to the low frame rate, please read this tutorial:

As for the off colors, that is quite strange. What version of DirectX do you have installed?

Thank you for uising Camtasia Studio!

Can you reproduce the color issues with any other games? This may be limited to Starcraft. If possible, could you try reproduce the problem on multiple systems?

Thank you for using Camtasia Studio!

I cant produce it with other systems but other games sure. by the way the FPS guide didn't make my FPS better but for some reason I feel that the FPS problem and the color problems are somewhat related, i might be wrong. I'll play different games (games who need hardware acceleration and some who dont need much) to try and see the results, ill be back ina day or so

Hmm, incase this doesn't work maybe you have some faster ways of being contacted? If you have any instant messengers E-Mail me @ EX-Mania@zelaron.com and tell me your IM names so that it gets fixed faster. (if not then it's ok) I have time to spare anyways.

Hello,

Well, I'm waiting for the email, and that would really be the best way to deal with this.

Thanks again for using Camtasia Studio!
