SnagIt Video Captures Multiple Windows Defect?

Following SnagIt's Help steps to capture a simple video, multiple instances of menus are recorded in the video hiding the very dialog boxes I am trying to show.

I am creating a short video (v.6.2.2) to have users verify that the appropriate template is attached to a doc. When I play back the video, three/five Windows menus display covering up the important Template dialog.

Is this a defect?

I'm not exactly clear on what you mean, but if you are playing the video in Media Player, try turning off hardware acceleration. Right click on your desktop and select Properties>Settings>Advanced>Troubleshooting, and slide the acceleration slider to None.
