View Full Version : Capturing region to a file is quirky

Hi,

I am on WinXP SP1 UK, 1280x1024, 32 bit mode. SnagIt 7.01
1) I set the output to a file and preview window, set a folder on my c drive. I also set automatic File name and the index to 2 and applied.

2) set my input to region.

a) Although I uncheck include cursor, when I hit my hotkey, the cursor does not go hidden, it appears wherever it wants on my screen, sometimes in the region I'd love to capture!

b) After I hit my hotkey the region captured appears in the preview window fine. I then edit it as I want, but when I hit Finished (clipboard) nothing is saved to my folder!!!
If before that I hit Save AS and give it a name manually then the file is saved. How bizarre?

Am I missing something?

Note: it does not matter what I capture, by the way.

Thanks

Regards

Hi there,

Apologies!!!!
Strike all the above posts. I just realised that I was using another profile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This new concept did my head in for a while.
I figured it out now somehow by going into NORMAL VIEW.

Cheers.[:)]
