How do I select and save say twenty captures in one go? It's a real pain to have to save them manually one by one, but I can't find any other options.

Go under the Camtasia Studio File menu and try batch production. I believe you can choose multiple files and then select a production preset to produce.

SnagIt has a batch tool as well.
