Voice Narration Grayed Out

When I have a camproj file open, I try to add a voice narration. However, all of the options for Voice Narration are grayed out and not available.

Could you please provide a little more information for us? What kind of Computer you are using, OS (Operating System, that is Windows XP, Vista, etc.) and what kind of sound card you have installed in your computer? This might help us help you better. Thanks Fred G. My computer is XP, 3 gig ram, Camtasia v 5.1.0, Realtek High Definition Audio sound card (part of mother board vs a plug in card). I also experience scratchy voice quality. Not sure if that is from mike, sound card, etc.

Just pull your mic out of your computer. Close the Voice Narration window. Plug your mic back into the computer and then open the Voice Narration window again.

That should work.

Thanks vwong007. I had the same problem with a USB microphone(Logitech AK5370) and tried your solution. I unplugged it, plugged it back, started CS5 then everything was available...not greyed out thanks.
